SEND Teacher – Permanent Position

The Role
The successful candidate will deliver creative, engaging, and individualised learning programmes that support pupils to achieve their full potential. Working within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, the SEND Teacher will play a vital role in fostering positive learning experiences, personal growth, and independence for every learner.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality teaching for pupils with a range of SEND, including ASD, SEMH, and complex needs.
* Differentiate learning to meet the individual needs, EHCP targets, and aspirations of each pupil.
* Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to deliver integrated support.
* Engage with parents and carers to build strong, collaborative relationships.
* Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the school’s commitment to excellence.
Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Proven experience teaching children or young people with SEND, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
* A strong understanding of SEND teaching strategies, behaviour management, and curriculum adaptation.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills.
* Commitment to safeguarding, child welfare, and promoting equality of opportunity.
* A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach to supporting pupils with diverse needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
