Role: Interim Financial Accountant
Hours: Full-time / Part-time (would consider 4 days a week)
Length of contract: up to 3 months
Salary: £50,000 / £250-£280 day rate
Location: Hybrid working - with a minimum of 1 day/week in our London office
Responsibilities
* Manage, record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions to ensure accurate general ledgers.
* Conduct weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of month-end close and reconciliations from day one.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations to ensure full compliance.
* Provide leadership, oversight, and guidance to two finance assistants, ensuring accurate output and timely delivery of tasks.
* Assist with audit preparations and liaise with auditors as needed.
* Oversee daily cash activities, monitor bank balances, and perform account reconciliations.
* Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring invoices, payments, and collections are managed accurately and efficiently.
* Perform variance analysis to highlight trends, risks, and opportunities, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
* Hands-on, detail-oriented, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Able to hit the ground running with minimal onboarding.
* Proactive problem solver, able to balance detail with commercial understanding.
* Good communicator, able to partner across finance and non-finance teams.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Comfortable operating autonomously and delivering within timeframes.
