Consultant Physician/Specialist Doctor – Genitourinary Medicine & HIV
Join the NHS University Hospitals of Liverpool Group (LUHFT) in a full‑time (10 PA) Consultant/Senior Specialist Doctor post within the East Cheshire sexual health service.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead outpatient HIV clinics and manage sexually transmitted infections and contraception.
* Deliver integrated sexual health and HIV medicine appointment clinics (30‑minute consults, 4 hour clinic sessions of seven appointments plus 30 min admin).
* Deliver one evening clinic per week.
* Provide fully independent outpatient HIV clinical care, supporting complex cases with the wider regional multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in Clinical Governance, research and multidisciplinary team meetings.
* Support the non‑in‑patient service; attend HIV MDT meetings virtually.
Key Qualifications
* Specialist skills in integrated sexual health and HIV medicine.
* Experience leading outpatient HIV clinics and managing STI & contraception.
* Entry on the GMC specialist register (or acceptable equivalent).
* Readiness to engage in research and offer flexibility for less‑than‑full‑time work if required.
Employment & Contract Details
* Full‑time (10 PA) Consultant / Senior Specialist doctor.
* Office accommodation at axess Macclesfield and axess Crewe.
* Offered a substantive Consultant contract or Specialist Doctor (2021) contract on the national English pay scale.
* Less‑than‑full‑time working and timetable flexibility available.
