The Counselling Service at Barton Peveril College is able to offer placements to qualified counsellors or counsellors in the advanced stages of training on a recognised counselling course (ideally studying for level 6, but may consider level 5). We have vacancies for volunteer counsellors to work with students on a one to one basis - students fill in an online referral form to access the College Counselling service. Minimum of 4 student appointments per day once course approval is submitted. Vacancies only available on a Monday or Thursday. Group supervision takes place on alternate Monday and Thursday mornings.
We cater to a diverse student population who are usually undertaking A level studies. Most of our students are within the 16-18 yrs age range.
