About the Role
Step into the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Sector Wide Rehabilitation, a high-impact leadership role delivering expert clinical consultancy across hospital, community, and district-wide rehab services in the Tablelands, Peel, and Mehi sectors. Harness your advanced skills to guide complex rehab decisions, empower interdisciplinary teams, and transform patient recovery and quality of life – all in a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends for unbeatable work-life balance. Base location is flexible within these vibrant rural areas, with travel required to make a district-wide difference.
Key Functions – Your Chance to Shine
* Expert Clinical Consultancy: Deliver specialist guidance to clinicians tackling complex rehab challenges, ensuring safe, person-centred outcomes every time.
* Education & Workforce Development: Design and lead specialised training programs that upskill teams, addressing critical issues for patients, families, and carers.
* Evidence-Based Practice: Translate cutting-edge research into real-world rehab innovation, aligning services with best-practice guidelines for functional recovery and chronic condition mastery.
* Service & System Development: Partner with multidisciplinary teams to drive quality improvements, seamless care integration, and forward-thinking service planning at local and district levels.
* Patient, Carer & Community Impact: Champion empowering rehab strategies that boost self-management, community engagement, and lasting quality of life.
You're fully supported from day one by the Nurse Manager of Armidale Community Health Service (primary base), a comprehensive transition from the former CNC, and collaborative multidisciplinary teams – including nursing, medical, allied health, and operational leaders. These open, collegial groups are passionate about professional growth and will have you thriving in no time!
About You
You're a Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA, bringing at least 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience, including 3 years full-time equivalent in rehabilitation. You hold approved postgraduate nursing qualifications in this specialty and have eligibility to drive in NSW, with the ability and willingness to travel for work.
