Overview
We’re so much more than an energy company. We’re a family of brands revolutionising how we power the planet. We're energisers. One team of 21,000 colleagues that energises a greener, fairer future by creating an energy system that doesn’t rely on fossil fuels, while living our commitment to igniting positive change in our communities. That’s why working here is #MoreThanACareer. We do energy differently – we do it all. We make it, store it, move it, sell it, and mend it.
Centrica Technology is a core driver of our strategy. You’ll join a team modernising our platforms, strengthening cyber and operational resilience, and advancing a product‑led way of working that brings engineers, data specialists and business experts together to deliver meaningful outcomes at pace. We are scaling automation and AI from proof of concept into real, end‑to‑end change – improving customer journeys, reducing cost to serve, accelerating delivery, and building the digital foundations that underpin everything from energy trading and risk to field operations and critical infrastructure. If you want to work on complex, high‑impact problems using modern engineering practices, and help build reusable platforms that will shape how Centrica operates over the next decade, this is the place to do it.
Role
As a Senior Business Analyst within Centrica Technology, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering large, complex transformation initiatives that drive real business value. Working across the full lifecycle—from early shaping through to delivery—you’ll define high‑quality functional and non‑functional requirements that bridge business ambition and technology execution. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across Group Functions and Technology to turn strategic objectives into clear, actionable solutions.
Day to Day
* Shape and define demand, working with stakeholders to take ideas from early scoping through to clear, well‑formed business cases that support strategic priorities.
* Lead requirements end‑to‑end, from discovery and elicitation through to documentation and sign‑off, ensuring clarity, quality and alignment to business outcomes.
* Engage and influence stakeholders, acting as the bridge between business and technology to align objectives, challenge thinking and drive the right outcomes.
* Facilitate workshops and drive clarity, running engaging sessions to uncover problems, define processes and agree solutions that are simple, scalable and effective.
* Support delivery across the lifecycle, working closely with delivery, QA and UAT teams to ensure requirements are understood, traceable and delivered as intended.
* Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify processes, improve efficiency, coach and mentor team members and enhance the overall quality of delivery across the portfolio.
