Job Description:
An independent Optical Domiciliary Practice is looking to recruit an experienced Optical Assistant to join their creative and dynamic domiciliary team in the Manchester area. They value strong intra-team relationships and respect for one another. The ideal candidate should be flexible to work across different aspects of the business and will have the opportunity to provide essential services to the elderly and underserved populations.
The role:
1. Driving yourself and the Optometrist to Care Home venues in Greater Manchester and surrounding areas, conducting pretests for patients, and supporting the optometrist in clinics.
2. Dispensing glasses with care and professionalism.
3. Delivering and fitting glasses accurately to improve patients' quality of life.
4. Maintaining accurate patient records for continuity of care.
5. Providing outstanding customer service to ensure memorable experiences.
6. Repairing glasses with skill and care.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
1. Previous experience in a care home setting is a plus.
2. At least 1 year of optical experience required.
3. GCSEs in Math and English or equivalent.
4. Strong organizational and time management skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills.
6. Enthusiastic and proactive attitude.
7. Full driving license; enjoy driving! (fully expensed company car for business and personal use).
8. Availability from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
