The Team
The Flight Planning team is a vital part of our Air Traffic Management function within the easyJet Network Control Team. Based in the Integrated Control Centre, you’ll be at the heart of our operation, ensuring every flight plan meets the highest standards of safety, compliance and service for both passengers and crew.
The Role
As a Flight Planning Officer, you’ll deliver safe and efficient Operational Flight Plans, always adhering to company procedures and policies. You’ll play a key role in improving on time performance by avoiding slot restrictions and adverse weather, and by finding solutions when external factors impact air traffic management. You’ll maximise flight plan efficiency to deliver cost savings, maintain situational awareness, and respond to operational conditions as needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
>Ensuring all flight plans are safe, efficient and consistent with our business model
>Managing LIDO in the production of Operational Flight Plans
>Analysing and correcting flight plan errors, working closely with the Navigation Team
>Monitoring ATFM regulations and en-route weather, taking action to minimise operational impact
>Reducing delays and improving efficiencies during both normal and disrupted operations
>Amending flight plans in response to Flight Crew requests
>Mentoring new Flight Planning Officers and deputising for the Senior Flight Planning Officer when required
>Delivering functional projects and capturing performance data to meet departmental KPIs
>Promoting a strong safety culture through accurate incident reporting
