About the Role
Our client, a well-established and fast-growing Managed Service Provider (MSP), is seeking an experienced 3rd Line Engineer to join their technical team. This is a senior technical role, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex infrastructure and cloud-related issues.
You’ll act as the escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Engineers, working across a diverse client base and a wide range of technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-level support, project delivery, and continuous service improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the final escalation point for complex technical issues
* Troubleshoot and resolve advanced infrastructure, network, and cloud problems
* Design, implement, and support client environments (on-prem and cloud)
* Lead and contribute to technical projects and migrations
* Maintain and improve documentation and internal processes
* Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and SLA adherence
Technical Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in a 3rd Line or Senior Support role within an MSP environment
* Solid networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls)
* Virtualisation experience (VMware and/or Hyper-V)
* Experience with backup solutions and disaster recovery
* Exposure to security best practices and tools
* Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
* Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104)
* Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell)
