The full-time starting salary is normally £38,050.00 per annum, with progression available in post to £44,131.00 per annum.

We're looking for two ER Advisers to join our Employee Relations team and support us to provide a proactive service to managers and staff in a diverse, fast-paced university setting. As a key member of our team, you'll provide professional, first-line HR advice and support, on a range of cases including sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance matters. You will work closely with managers to enable confident, data driven decision-making and help drive a culture of high performance, and continuous improvement.
You'll be an HR professional with hands-on experience of advising managers on HR policies. You will be educated to degree or equivalent and be an Associate Member of the CIPD (Assoc. CIPD). You will have experience providing HR advice across a diverse workforce and have experience analysing data such as absence reports. You will have knowledge of and experience in HR databases and systems, including strong IT proficiency (Excel, MS Office, HRIS), and experience of advising on HR policies and should be prepared to deliver training interventions.

The appointed candidate will normally be employed through our subsidiary company BCU Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Birmingham City University.
