Junior HR Business Partner - Distribution
We’re looking for a dynamic and strategic Junior HR Business Partner to join our on-site team in Walsall on a permanent basis. This is a high-impact role where you’ll partner with leaders across the business to drive the people agenda, build high-performing teams, and support transformational change.
What You’ll Do
* Build trusted relationships with leaders across the business areas and within the HR team
* Coach, advise and consult with departmental and functional managers – act as a sounding board and HR Centres of Expertise to future plan activities and create strategies to meet department or function needs, with support of the AVP, HRBP
* Provide support in identifying, creating, and driving the people agenda, ensuring HR plans are aligned with business culture
* Developing talent: understand the vision and strategy for talent, be a key partner for leaders and apply influencing skills to drive the talent agenda within the business area
* Provide expert and proactive HR advice and guidance to managers/associates on HR matters, including complex employee relations casework, performance management, engagement, legal compliance, policies and procedures, absence management, wellness, consultation, diversity, communications, environment and working conditions, duty of care and health and safety
* Work with AVP/HRBP to interpret policies and initiatives and share details within the function to ensure advice and solutions fit the needs of the department and/or function
* Work with Talent Development to support induction, technical training, management development, coaching, talent planning, succession, career paths, high potential and leadership development
* Be an ambassador for our off-price culture and develop solid knowledge of TJX business and strategy to provide HR advice as needed
* You will be required to be in the office 5 days per week
What You’ll Bring
* Proven HR experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally retail or similar
* Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders up to AVP level
* Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices
* Experience managing complex ER cases and navigating change
* A proactive, curious mindset with a hands-on, can-do attitude
* Excellent communication, project management, and organisational skills
* Proficiency in HR systems (e.g. Workday), Excel, and PowerPoint
