Key Responsibilities
Alongside the great service you provide to our customers, your role will involve a variety of shop-keeping related tasks to keep the things running efficiently and productively. Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the shop's management team with managerial tasks and working with all other areas of the shop to meet customer demand.
2. Ensuring Partners operate in a safe and legal manner.
3. Fulfilling online customer orders for our drivers to deliver shopping directly to customers' doors.
4. Stock replenishment - ensuring shelves are full and products are in the right place at the right time.
5. Supporting the wider shop team including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, fulfilling on-demand customer orders, and more.
6. Proactively driving the shop's commercial performance and suggesting continuous improvements.
7. Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for products nearing their sell-by dates.
8. Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shopkeeping tasks.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Good people and leadership skills.
* Understanding of retail and how to maximise commercial success.
* Experience in a customer-facing role.
* Good stakeholder management skills, including working with third parties and the wider Partnership.
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Duty Manager Training (Internal Partners only).
As a Team Leader within one of our Waitrose shops, you'll help create memorable customer experiences through Partner-led service and passion for food. Your dedication to going the extra mile will enhance customer trust and loyalty, support sales and profit maximisation, and uphold the Waitrose brand's reputation.
Full-time hours, Wednesday to Saturday, between 21:00 - 07:00.
