<div><p>We are seeking an outstanding and collaborative individual to join our team as <b>Chair in Health and Care Inequalities</b>. This senior academic role offers an exceptional opportunity to provide strategic leadership in research, innovation and teaching within the <b>Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work</b>, School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.</p><p>The post holder will join a large, vibrant and interdisciplinary academic community at the University of Manchester and will play a key role in shaping and advancing contemporary agendas to reduce health and care inequalities at local, national and international levels.</p><p>This is a <b>full‑time, permanent Professorial appointment (Grade 9E)</b> based on the University’s Oxford Road campus.</p><p>You will be responsible for:</p><ul><li>Leading and delivering a high‑impact, externally funded research programme focused on health and care inequalities</li><li>Shaping contemporary research agendas and contributing to interdisciplinary and cross‑faculty research challenges</li><li>Producing and disseminating research outputs of national and international standing</li><li>Translating research findings into practice and policy across clinical, community and public settings</li><li>Providing academic leadership, including mentoring early‑ and mid‑career researchers and supervising postgraduate research students</li></ul><p>We welcome candidates who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and approaches to their work.</p><h3>About You</h3><p>We encourage applications from individuals with a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
