Male Support Worker - Kinson (BH11)
Part-Time Position (15 hours per week)
£12.85 per hour
Dimensions are seeking a Male Support Worker to enable the independence of a gentleman we support in his home in the Kinson area of Bournemouth by assisting him in his day-to-day life. He is looking for someone who is chatty, outgoing, and determined in nature.
The gentleman we support is in his 40s and has autism and a learning disability. Experience supporting individuals who can exhibit behaviours of distress would be advantageous. This gentleman likes routines and would enjoy activities such as:
* Going for walks in the local community
* Watching TV, especially 80’s shows like TJ Hooker and Knight Rider
* Going to the supermarket
* Occasional drives (once he gets to know you)
* Encouraging him to complete household tasks
Male Support Workers may also assist with finances, meal preparation, and prompting the gentleman to attend to personal care.
Shifts for this role are from 07:00-14:30 and 14:30-22:00. We require Male Support Workers to work a minimum of 1 sleep-in shift per week. The pay rate is £12.85 per hour, with sleep-in shifts paid at an allowance of £50 per shift.
Dimensions provides full training to all Male Support Workers.
