The Opportunity

Stantec has a new opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Water Sector team. This role will be based at our Manchester office, with hybrid working allowing for a mix of in-office and home working.

Stantec is an industry‑leading consultancy within the Water Sector. We are involved in a wide variety of projects across the sector – including water resources, wastewater networks and treatment, water treatment and supply, flood mitigation and other specialist areas. Our success has helped us grow as an organisation, and this new opportunity is part of that growth.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager you will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects at every stage of the project lifecycle. You will build close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to cost, and to a high level of quality. Excellent client service is a key expectation of our Project Managers.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of water sector projects in the North West and will need to be proactive in identifying and mitigating potential risks across these projects. You will also work towards ensuring project success by managing project budgets and resources effectively.

Qualifications

* Experience in the Water industry and prior experience of project management is essential.
* Industry recognised project management qualification such as the APM’s Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or similar.
* Experience managing multiple deadlines and the ability to demonstrate successful working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Track record of successful project management and proactive risk management and mitigation.
* Passion for innovation and client service, with ambitions to tackle a range of challenges as the team looks to continue its growth within the sector.
