We are looking for a Product Quality Specialist (Inspector), reporting into the Quality Manager, to join us who will be fully engaged and adaptable, will be team players and problem solvers and will be excellent communicators.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Assists with review and validation of product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.
2. Supports analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes.
3. Participates in the investigation to determine root cause of nonconformance of plans.
4. Ability to apply basic knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.
5. Gathers data and provides recommendations/solutions to nonconformance of plans, products or processes.
6. Assists with the development, modification and documentation of actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action.
7. Assists in obtaining corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes and submits for review. Supports concurrence and obtains commitments to support program resolution.
8. Participates and observes the validation associated with corrective action to assure nonconformance has been eliminated.
9. Conducts audits to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.
10. Assists in the creation of reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal distribution.
11. Works under general supervision.
Basic Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience)
12. Experience with measurement equipment and inspecting parts for conformance.
13. Experience and understanding of GD&T
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
14. A strong working knowledge of using measurement equipment.
15. Experience working in an AS9100 approved manufacturing facility
16. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
17. Able to troubleshoot CMM machines and work under own initiative.
18. Able to train and mentor others.
19. Comfortable working within an ISO 9001 controlled environment
20. Ability to develop innovative ideas to make process improvements.
21. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. (Ability to apply concepts such as trigonometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations).
22. Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on machinery.
23. Communicates honestly, professionally, and respectfully with others and demonstrates effective listening skills.
24. Experience of Aerospace machining and AS9100 requirements is desirable, other highly regulated industries will also be considered (medical, nuclear, automotive etc).
25. Good level of numeracy and literacy
26. Good level of IT skills.
