Receptionist (Part Time)
Join the Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy at the University of Cambridge as a part‑time receptionist at our West Cambridge site.
About the role
The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact, providing a professional and customer‑focused reception service and general administrative support for procurement to staff and visitors. Duties include:
* Greeting visitors and welcoming staff and external parties
* Responding to straightforward queries
* Photocopying and preparing documents
* Assisting with meeting arrangements and room bookings
Part‑time working hours: 12:45 pm to 17:15 pm (22.5 hrs a week).
Key qualifications and skills
* Exceptional organisational and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritise a diverse and changing workload.
* Excellent communication skills, able to interact with a wide range of individuals, both internal and external.
* Experience working independently in a busy environment while maintaining a high level of support.
