Lead Software Engineer - Java/React at JPMorganChase

Responsibilities
* Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
* Develop secure, high-quality production code; review and debug code written by others
* Identify opportunities to automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability of software applications and systems
* Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for current systems
* Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to promote new technologies
* Foster an inclusive team culture with diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills (Required)
* Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with proficient experience
* Hands-on experience developing UI and server-side software
* Advanced proficiency in at least one of Java or React
* Practical cloud experience
* Experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
* Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
* Full lifecycle Software Development Life Cycle proficiency
* Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
* Proven experience with software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, mobile)
* Knowledge of the financial services industry and related IT systems
* Hands-on cloud-native experience
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills
* Experience with EKS on AWS
* Knowledge of observability tools (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
