We have an exciting role on offer within our Community Learning service as a General Teaching Assistant – Alternative Provision.
This post is a key function within the Community Learning Service part of Middlesbrough Council. The purpose of this post is to assist and support teaching within the Alternative 14-16 Provision at Community Learning’s Lingfield College.
The successful applicant will:
* Support the teacher in managing the pupils and classroom.
* Establish good relationships with pupils and support all learning for learners with individual identified barriers to learning (SEN).
* Promote the inclusion and interaction of all pupils and engage in activities.
* Provide IAG to learners.
* Promote Health and Wellbeing and comply with all practices and policies including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent Duty, Learner Support and Equality and Diversity.
We offer a fun and supportive working environment with a good team ethos. The Community Learning Service was inspected in November 2024 and was rated good with areas of outstanding. This post offers a real opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.
