We have a requirement for a Rental Operatrive to assist our Branch Manager at our Folkestone location.

The ideal candidate will have rental experience and be self-motivated and able to work without day to day supervision.

Responsibilities

* To sell and promote Practical Car and Van Rental at all times.
* To assist the branch manager with the day to day running of the branch.
* Have the knowledge of all the fleet vehicles i.e., groups/models/specifications etc.
* Where possible 'up sell' to customers.
* Regularly monitor emails and ensure they are responded to promptly, accurately and in a professional manner.
* Ensure any penalty charge notices are dealt with in the given timescales and administration fees are charged accordingly.
* Book vehicles in and out ensuring the rental agreements are correctly completed and customers have signed where necessary. Ensure all supporting documentation is checked and where necessary copies taken and attached to the completed/signed rental agreement.
* Check customers credit/debit card is in the renter's name and signature matches that on the rental agreement.
* Always be polite and professional with both customers and work colleagues.
* General office duties i.e., answering telephone, filing processed on a DAILY basis.
* Ensure all invoices/letters etc are actioned daily and either emailed or posted where applicable.
* Call each day on overdue rentals and where applicable extend the rental agreement and process and further payment required.
* Make sure all transactions are recorded on daily banking spread sheet.
* At all times keep office clean and tidy.
* Regularly promote business and gain new customers by sending promotional materials.
* Make sure the daily delivery/collection records are always updated.
* Respond promptly to any online bookings/enquiries.
* Keep a record of all telephone enquiries (reserved or not).
* Have a good understanding of policy excesses, deposits, price lists, one-way hires, cross rents, and vehicle bandings and ensure all customer quotations are accurate and clearly detail the costings.
* On a regular basis contact competitors and keep records of their rates enabling more accurate review on our company's rates.
* Process all reservations, confirmed reservations and advance deposit charges.
* Carry out Google search checks on daily basis.
