Job Description
3. Provide proactive, reliable support to the COO, maintaining a calm and well‑structured executive office
4. Manage and prioritise the COO's inbox, responding on their behalf where appropriate
5. Implement systems to track actions, deadlines and decisions, ensuring nothing is overlooked
6. Prepare the COO for meetings through high‑quality briefings and background materials
7. Attend key meetings to capture actions and ensure effective follow‑up
8. Review and analyse papers, highlighting key issues, risks or gaps
9. Coordinate logistics and briefing materials for events, external engagements and high‑profile meetings
10. Draft clear, well‑structured and sensitive briefings, reports and presentations
11. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders and external partners
12. Act independently to move actions forward, anticipate requirements and resolve issues
The Successful Applicant
A successful EA to COO should have:
13. Highly proactive with strong judgement and the ability to act autonomously
14. Exceptionally organised, reliable and solutions‑focused
15. Comfortable working at pace in a complex and sensitive environment
16. Diplomatic and professional in senior‑level interactions
17. Strong communicator able to summarise complex information succinctly
18. Experienced supporting C‑suite or equivalent senior leaders in a large or complex organisation
19. Skilled in senior inbox management and shifting-priority workflows
20. Confident attending senior meetings and driving delivery of follow‑up actions
21. Strong analytical, drafting and presentation skills
22. Experienced in improving systems and processes within an executive office
