The post holder will have responsibility, on a day-to-day basis for the effective and efficient utilisation of Bluestone & Dorsy’s inpatient beds, to ensure optimum usage, providing regular updates on bed state and staffing.Under the management of the Bed Capacity Network Coordinator, the post holder will provide regular updates on the Unit bed state and coordinate staffing across the unit, to ensure patient safety, and maintain high quality of care.This primarily involves being the bleep holder for the Unit.S/he will provide clear leadership and oversee the utilisation of all staff within their sphere of responsibility.The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that services are of a high quality and fully meet professional regulation and governance standards. Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership for the service and ensure effective management and deployment of relevant resources.
* Contribute to ensuring active partnership between mental health services and primary/community care colleagues in meeting the needs of individuals with mental health difficulties.
* Promote and develop effective partnerships with patients, carers and members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Skills and Qualifications
* 2 years post registration experience within Acute Mental Health Services,
* And be able to demonstrate evidence of: Working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders including clinicians and other health and social care professionals to achieve successful outcomes.
* Be a Registered Mental Health Nurse/ Registered Learning Disability Nurse on the live Nursing and Midwifery Council Register.
