We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our Yeovil business and lead from the front and be part of a team shaping the companies’ future. (Site T/Over £15 million with ambitious growth plans, Headcount circa 80 employees)
Key Tasks
* Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety across all manufacturing processes.
* Leading capacity planning, production scheduling, and resource allocation to meet demanding aerospace customer requirements.
* Driving continuous improvement, lean manufacturing practices, and operational excellence.
* Managing budgets and delivering P&L accountability for a £15m turnover business.
* Developing, mentoring, and motivating a skilled workforce to achieve business objectives.
* Partnering with senior leadership to deliver strategic growth and operational improvements.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Operations Manager or similar leadership role within aerospace or a casting environment.
* Knowledge/experience of investment casting, complex casting, or comparable intricate processes – preferred.
* Strong leadership and team development skills with the ability to inspire at all levels.
* Demonstrable experience in capacity planning, production control, and P&L management.
* A results-driven mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
