Job Description
Assist in event planning, management, and provide onsite operational support for the Venue Manager to deliver first-class service for clients.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee the setup of each allocated event, liaising with the Venue Manager, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure all units and hire equipment are correctly positioned according to plan.
2. Assist in compiling subcontractor lists for major events, recommending new providers as appropriate.
3. Manage small events, ensuring smooth operation.
4. Assist with detailed planning for each event, including logistical, staffing, health and safety considerations, and securing subcontractors.
5. Provide comprehensive information packs to subcontractors, including attendance estimates, logistical details, retail tariffs, and passes.
6. Support the setup and breakdown of events, including site layout, equipment, and decorations.
7. Monitor subcontractor performance on event day, ensuring adherence to standards, policies, and safety procedures.
8. Ensure all activities comply with client policies and health and safety regulations.
9. Oversee post-event breakdown, ensuring the site is cleaned and equipment returned.
10. Provide the Venue Manager with post-event analysis, including sales data, subcontractor performance, and suggestions for improvement.
11. Incorporate sustainable practices to reduce environmental impact and support the company's sustainability strategy.
12. Perform other duties as required for the smooth operation of the business.
