Offer description

Sword is a leading provider of business technology solutions within the Energy, Public and Finance Sectors, driving transformational change within our clients. We use proven technology, specialist teams and domain expertise to build solid technical foundations across platforms, data, and business applications. We have a passion for using technology to solve business problems, working in partnership with our clients to help in achieving their goals. About the Role: As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in helping one of the UK’s most critical energy infrastructure providers embrace Microsoft CoPilot and AI-powered tools. Your focus will be on ensuring smooth adoption across the business, managing training and logistics, and supporting teams in embedding new ways of working. This is not just about requirements and process mapping — it’s about enabling people to adapt, learn, and unlock the value of intelligent tools in their day-to-day work. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, project managers and SMEs to identify opportunities for improvement, define use cases, and make sure the roll-out is as effective and user-friendly as possible. This role offers the opportunity to work on programmes that are shaping the UK’s transition to net zero, driving efficiency, innovation and smarter decision-making across the energy network. As a Business Analyst, you will: Support the roll-out of Microsoft CoPilot, ensuring adoption and training are planned, tracked and delivered effectively. Work with stakeholders to gather, analyse and document requirements, turning them into use cases with clear acceptance criteria. Map existing and future-state processes to identify improvements enabled by CoPilot and related Microsoft solutions. Collaborate with project managers to support delivery workstreams and ensure requirements are translated into successful outcomes. Facilitate workshops with business users to explore opportunities, gather feedback, and embed change. Produce clear reports, insights and visualisations to help non-technical stakeholders understand progress and value. Requirements Proven experience as a Business Analyst, ideally on Microsoft solution projects. Awareness or experience of Microsoft CoPilot (or related Microsoft 365/Power Platform adoption projects). Strong skills in requirements gathering, analysis, and process mapping. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical and data-driven insights to non-technical audiences. Confidence working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholders. An analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable deliverables. Benefits At Sword, our core values and culture are based on caring about our people, investing in training and career development, and building inclusive teams where we are all encouraged to contribute to achieve success. We offer comprehensive benefits designed to support your professional development and enhance your overall quality of life. In addition to a Competitive Salary, here's what you can expect as part of our benefits package: Personalised Career Development: We create a development plan customised to your goals and aspirations, with a range of learning and development opportunities within a culture that encourages growth. Flexible working: Flexible work arrangements to support your work-life balance. At Sword we are dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace and are proud to be an equal opportunities employer, ensuring that all applicants receive fair and equal consideration for employment, regardless of whether they meet every requirement.
