Job responsibilities Provision of anaesthetic service for elective and emergency surgery under appropriate supervision. To include pre-operative assessment, intra-operative care and follow up as required post-operatively. Participation in department governance meetings, M&M review, audit and research. The post holder will be required to work a 1:8 on call rota, in line with anaesthetists in training. They must be able to cover emergency theatre and to have obstetric anaesthetic competencies sufficient to cover labour ward out of hours, with support from a third on call.
