Overview
At Northern Arizona Healthcare, we are dedicated to our mission of providing exceptional care. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in coordinating care for patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include direct patient care, education, and discharge planning. You will follow a comprehensive nursing process that includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation to ensure the highest quality of care.
In this role, you will not only provide care but also lead and mentor ancillary personnel, serving as a team leader and preceptor. You will practice within the ANA Scope of Practice and adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses, ensuring that you uphold the standards of your specialty.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
* Assess the needs and conditions of assigned patients by gathering relevant health information.
* Identify outcomes and develop individualized care plans to achieve expected results.
* Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
* Provide safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care while respecting privacy and treating everyone with dignity and compassion.
* Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection prevention standards.
* Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
* Assist with procedures and transportation throughout the hospital as needed.
Education:
* Foster a learning environment supported by evidence-based practice and research.
* Engage in professional interactions with peers and students to enhance personal development.
* Participate in ongoing educational seminars and in-service training.
* Mentor and educate colleagues and students to promote growth within the team.
Compliance/Safety:
* Adhere to regulatory and organizational standards affecting patient care and safety.
* Stay current with state and federal regulations and ensure all certifications are up-to-date.
* Complete mandatory training and maintain accurate documentation of assessments and interventions.
* Report safety-related incidents promptly and participate in safety training programs.
Qualifications
* Graduates hired on or after 7/1/2016 must complete a BSN program within 6 years of hire.
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN License or valid compact license - Required
* BLS Certification - Required
* ACLS Certification - Required
* CNOR Certification - Preferred
