Base pay range
Salary: £29,525 - A Civil Service Pension with an employer contribution of 28.97%
You will line manage a team of Case Officers, including managing performance, quality assurance and distribution of caseloads. You will assist line managers by producing statistical analysis to monitor the performance of the team, quality check failures that the team have had to issue and effectively support business cases as required. You will work closely with the Training and Development team to ensure new entrant Vehicle and Traffic Examiner courses run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Managing the provision of prosecution cases with regard to Scottish law and the Scottish legal system.
* Provide support, advice and guidance to new or existing laws if a question arises and conduct legal and factual research to affect management decisions.
* Manage the graduated fixed penalty deposit reports, distribution and completion of cases from these reports.

About you
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:
* Excellent leadership skills, being diplomatic and tactful in your approach.
* Existing awareness of the legal system.
* Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and be able to use these skills effectively, to liaise with and present to a variety of key stakeholders
* You will be analytical in your approach and have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, with high accuracy levels and attention to detail.
* You will be IT literate in MS Office (Excel, Work and PowerPoint particularly).
* You will be a self-motivated individual, who is flexible in your working approach, undertaking training and development as appropriate.
