We are currently recruiting for an experienced Plumbing and Gas Engineer to join our Property Services Team and provide high quality, efficient and customer focussed maintenance services across an ever-growing portfolio of developed, managed and renovated residential and commercial properties.
You will be a part of the Property Services team responsible for all legislative requirement and certification for the work that you carry out. Focus will be on Customer Service, Communication, Appointments, Right First Time, Make Safe and other key performance criteria. Work must be carried out to legislative and building regulation compliance.
Main Duties:
* To carry out work in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Gas Safety (Installations and Use) Regulations 1998.
* To maintain and service the Groups gas appliances and Pressurised Hot Water Vessels on a regular basis, to regulatory standards.
* To investigate defects to appliances and systems, assess repairs and other maintenance required to the specified standard.
* To undertake any maintenance, repair or remedial task prescribed by the Team ensuring all work undertaken meets the highest possible quality standards.
* To carry out jobs according to instructions and to keep materials usage to a minimum consistent with required quality standards, obtaining approval whenever any substantial variation from orders is required.
* To ensure the customer appointments are kept to time and communication is always maintained with the customer and colleagues.
* To use the PDA as instructed adding notes to all jobs as to works done and updates to jobs.
* To order materials from suppliers for jobs which need a follow up visit due to not having the availability of Van Stock. Information on such orders are to be added onto the job notes on the PDA.

* To ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in good working order and where required serviced regularly.
* Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues and contractors to ensure an integrated contribution to the Groups objectives.
* If a follow up visit is required, communicate with the customer and report back to the Planner / Team Leader all appointment requirements
Skills and Person Specification:
Essential
* Knowledge of Gas appliance (installation and use) Regulations 1998
* Recent relevant experience at a similar level time served plumber
* Experience in servicing and repair and fault finding of domestic heating system
* Experienced and competent in use of Combustion analysers and interpreting data produced
* Experienced in the installation and replacement of domestic boilers
* Experienced in general plumbing work, including new installations and maintenance
* Gas safety approved qualifications, CCN1 HRT1, CKR1, CEN1.DOM NG, Combustion Performance Analysis N.G
* City and Guilds Qualification in plumbing or equivalent.
* Full driving licence
Desirable
* Experienced in Servicing Repair of unvented hot water systems (Certificate of competence)
* Knowledge of 17 Edition I.E.E. Regulations
* Experience of basic electrical fault finding in relation to servicing and soundness testing of gas appliances and systems
