Role title: Water Hygiene Supervisor
Reports to Title: National Water Hygiene Manager
Location: Midlands (Home Based/ National)
Hours of Work: 45 hours / week, typically Monday – Friday (Flexibility required 24/7)
Job Purpose:
To assist in the delivery of an effective national water hygiene service to ensure City Facilities Management meets its statutory responsibilities and provides safe working environments for employees, clients and those affected by our undertaking.
Key Accountabilities
* Adhere to all City FM and client company policy and processes.
* Update Cascade as and when absence, holiday, or any other documentation requiring uploading. To complete absence management paperwork.
* To oversee the completion of the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
* To prioritise reactive maintenance of CWST’s.
* To identify any issues requiring a job raised for regional teams.
* To advise the AMM and Divisional Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the store.
* To carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the needs of the business.
* To carry out reviews on quality and Health & Safety and take action on non-compliances.
* To assist engineers in other areas when requested to do so to meet business needs.
* To audit FM documentation and report any non-compliances.
* To review any risk assessments or control measure reports.
* Review any Legionella related tracker.
* To audit control measures and water related tasks undertaken by other City FM Technicians.
* To undertake Legionella related risk assessments as and when required.
* To manage via planning the CWST cleaning and chlorination program.
* To review and update all water hygiene related trackers.
* To work to comply with company KPIs.
* To carry out work in the most cost-efficient manner.
* To maintain and Update the Asset database.
* To be the primary contact for any operational issues and point of escalation for the teams should any issues arise.
* To carry out visits to both day and night team colleagues.
* To monitor ordering of consumables, materials, uniform, and PPE as required.
* Undertake any reasonable requests and additional work as required by the National Water Hygiene Manager.
* To cover the National Manager role in their absence.
* To comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the City Management Team.
Financial Responsibility:
To carry out work in the most cost-efficient manner.
To resource suitable tools and stock of quality but cost efficient.
No budgetary accountability.
People Responsibility
To represent the company in a professional manner always and develop a good working relationship with the Head of Department, all FM line management, colleagues.
This role is responsible for Technical Supervision of the Water Hygiene teams.
Professional/Academic/ Vocational Qualifications
* City & Guilds Control of Legionella
* Disinfection of cold-water storage tanks
* City & Guilds Water Regulations
* City & Guilds Legionella Risk Assessment
Specific Knowledge
PC literate including Excel skills
Control of Legionella
Experience in line managing a team of water technicians
Good geographical knowledge of the UK
