Deputy Manager

Our Children's Home in March M is recruiting for a Deputy Manager. The role involves supporting and caring for our young people and leading a small staff team.

Benefits include:

* Exclusive access to reward and discount scheme
* Comprehensive induction
* Commitment to ongoing training and career progression
* Pension scheme
* Paid for enhanced DBS checks
* Wellbeing support
* Cycle to work scheme
* and more

We are a large, nurturing home on the outskirts of March that cares for four young people aged 11‑18 with emotional and behavioural needs. The young people are supported at the home and in the community, encouraged to undertake various activities and hobbies to increase confidence and belonging. We support independence and self‑care skills so that the young people can be independent in the future. Our Ofsted rating is Outstanding, and visitors describe the home as homely and child‑focused.

Aspris offers a clear career pathway and training plan. If you can demonstrate the values needed for a residential childcare role, we will provide the training and support to enable you to become a dynamic Deputy Manager.

A Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People is essential, and you should be willing to study towards the Level 5 Diploma.

* Resilience – You must be able to cope with the challenges of supporting vulnerable children with varying degrees of emotional and behavioural difficulties, autism, ADHD, and other associated difficulties.
* Communication – Communicating with young people, and working effectively in a team, is vital to understand and relay their needs.
* Organisation – Overseeing the implementation of care and independence programmes, line‑managing staff, and managing shift patterns.
* Caring – A natural caring and compassionate approach is essential.
* Attentive – Each young person is unique; attentiveness is required to understand and support them.

Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel rewarded by helping those who need it most. If you want residential childcare to be a job for life, Aspris will help you get there.

Aspris is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least two references covering the last three years. For all our services we will request references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults. References may be requested prior to interview for roles within our Schools.

If you would like an informal chat about this exciting role, please give our helpful recruitment team a call on 0808 258 3729 or email vacancies@aspris.com.
