Our client, a dynamic and innovative organisation, is seeking a Quality Technician to join their team in a permanent, full-time capacity.
As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to work within a factory environment, supporting the Quality Manager to develop and maintain Product Safety and Quality systems. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance standards on-site.
* Challenging packaging safety systems and reviewing and updating plans as required.
* Managing document control and maintaining the Product Safety and Quality Management System.
* Collaborating with the Quality Manager to implement internal audit programmes.
* Performing packaging/artwork checks, approvals, and shelf life inspections.
* Driving quality improvement initiatives in manufacturing and business processes.
* Reporting any issues in a timely manner.
* Ensuring proper collation and filing of documentation.
* Conducting daily quality control inspections on production lines.
* Liaising with suppliers regarding non-conforming products.
* Supporting the Quality Manager with any additional requests.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
* Excellent written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
* Strong numerical ability to record, interpret, and analyse key process data.
* Fluency in English.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage systems.
* Previous experience in a similar role or environment.
* HACCP/HARA certification.
In addition to the qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
* Effective communication and presentation skills when dealing with customers and suppliers.
* Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
* Knowledge of food legislation and BRC Global Standard for packaging.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong self-organisation, motivation, planning, prioritising, and time management abilities.
