Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team in Leigh, United Kingdom. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to maintain their independence and quality of life in their own homes.
* Provide personalised care and support to clients, tailoring your approach to their individual needs
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and medication management
* Prepare nutritious meals and help with light housework to maintain a clean and safe living environment
* Accompany clients on outings and appointments, promoting social engagement and independence
* Offer companionship and emotional support, fostering positive relationships with clients and their families
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to the care coordinator
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
* Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in care provision
Qualifications
* Genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact on people's lives
* Caring, patient, and empathetic nature with excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
* Physical stamina to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
* Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping and medication management
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and adapt to new situations and care techniques
* Valid UK driving licence (preferred)
* Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided
* DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check required
