Clinical Pharmacist - Full Time\n\nLocation: Reading, GP Surgery\n Salary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum\n\nAbout the Practice\n\nOn behalf of a leading GP surgery in Reading, Healthii People is recruiting a full-time Pharmacist to join a highly rated and innovative healthcare team. The practice supports over 32,000 patients, including more than 9,000 university students, and operates as a standalone Primary Care Network (PCN), enabling agile, patient-focused decision-making.\n\nWith consecutive 'Outstanding' CQC ratings, this practice is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care and continuously seeks ways to innovate and improve.\n\nThe Role\n\nAs a full-time Pharmacist, you'll work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality medication-related care, optimise prescribing, and ensure safe medicines use.\n\nSalary: £45,000-£55,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)\n Hours: Full-time\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage and reauthorise repeat prescriptions\nConduct telephone and face-to-face medication reviews\nContribute to chronic disease clinics (where trained)\nReconcile medications after hospital discharge\nProvide medication-related telephone support to patients and clinicians\nPrescribe and review medicines for care home residents\nPerform clinical audits and support the Prescribing Incentive Scheme\nEnsure compliance with MHRA safety alerts and CQC standards\nTrain visiting students and support learning within the team\nManage secondary care prescription requests\nBuild effective links with local community pharmacists\nProvide QOF reviews, flu vaccinations, and minor illness management (experience dependent)The Team\n\nYou'll be joining a well-supported, experienced multidisciplinary team that includes:\n\n5 Pharmacists and 1 Pharmacy Technician\nGPs (Partners and Salaried)\nParamedics, a Physician Associate\nNurses, a Nursing Associate, and HCAsThis is a team-focused, innovation-driven environment where each clinician has the opportunity to shape services and improve patient outcomes.\n\nPerson Specification\n\nEssential:\n\nGPhC-registered pharmacist\nMinimum 3 years post-qualification experience\nIndependent Prescriber (or willing to complete training)\nUK driving licence and access to a vehicle\nStrong clinical, interpersonal, and IT skillsDesirable:\n\nPrimary care or GP surgery experience\nRoyal Pharmaceutical Society membership\nConfident in clinical audits, prescribing safety, and QOF work\nTeaching or mentoring experience\nSelf-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative in approach
