Location: Outreach in Communities - Can be based out of Bishop Auckland, Durham, Peterlee or Consett.
Working Hours: 37 hours per week - There is a possibility of evening/weekend work depending on services needs

About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and committed Children, Young People and Family Worker to support families facing complex challenges.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role where you will manage a caseload, deliver evidence-based interventions and work alongside partner agencies to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes for children and families.
What You Will Be Doing
1. Managing a caseload of children, young people and adults that are affected by someone else's substance misuse
2. Building trusting, respectful relationships
3. Contributing to assessments and Early Help planning
4. Delivering tailored 1:1 interventions and structured group programmes (including CRAFT and SMART Groups)
5. Working collaboratively with multi-agency partners
6. Monitoring progress and maintaining accurate case records
7. Ensuring safeguarding remains central to your work
8. Working flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
9. Experienced in working with children, young people and adults that are affected by someone else substance misuse
10. Skilled at engaging individuals facing complex or challenging circumstances
11. Confident managing a caseload and balancing competing demands
12. Knowledgeable about safeguarding and professional boundaries
13. Compassionate, resilient and solution-focused
An NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential, or a willingness to work towards it.
Experience in therapeutic approaches such as CBT, MI or family-based interventions would be advantageous.
