Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to oversee the operations of our care facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, particularly in the care home environment. This role requires exceptional leadership skills, a commitment to providing high-quality care, and the ability to develop and implement effective care plans for residents, including those with dementia and Alzheimer's.
Duties
* Manage daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in senior care.
* Supervise and lead a team of care staff, fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional development.
* Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans for residents, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
* Oversee medication administration and ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to.
* Conduct regular assessments of residents' health and wellbeing, making necessary adjustments to care plans as required.
* Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for residents.
* Maintain accurate records of resident care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality is upheld at all times.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging feedback and implementing changes where necessary.
Experience
* Proven experience in a managerial role within an assisted living, caring or nursing home setting is essential.
* Strong background in nursing, caring or senior care with specific experience in dementia and Alzheimer's care preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
* Previous supervisory experience with a focus on leadership and team management is required.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and staff members alike.
* Knowledge of medication administration procedures and regulatory requirements within the care sector is essential.
