This role will sit within the UK cortAIX Factory organisation in the UK supporting the design, development of AI technologies for use in the military and civilian ecosystems.
About the Role
The AI Deployment Manager (AIDM) is a role within the CortAIx UK Factory that forms part of the growing data and AI technologies industrialisation and delivery to Thales UK customers. The AIDAM will look to identify opportunities within the projects, programmes and products and translate the customer needs/expectations into deliverables that the CortAIx Engineering team will deliver against. This role requires a hands-on person who will drive the delivery of AI engineering project work and will strive to understand existing ways of working and refine product delivery to help improve performance.
Responsibilities
* Act as a liaison between the cortAIx Factory UK and the UK business and/or function.
* Coach the team in mastering agile/lean delivery principles, implementing the associated practices and indicators with a continuous improvement approach.
* Manage and report on the Use Case progress.
* Coach the team in the techniques and tools needed to manage their delivery.
* Capitalize on and improve delivery practices within CortAIx Factory.
* Manage the key output assets for the scrum team.
* Responsible for delivery excellence of project teams.
* Use Thales UK process and methodology to understand the product requirement from the business or function.
* Continually assess and identify risks in line with the risk management approach, ensuring they are mitigated within the data governance programme.
* Assist with the Data governance processes to protect and secure Thales data while seeking to explore exploitation and collaboration opportunities.
* Ensure that critical business information is available in a timely and accurate manner.
* Will act as an advocate for the cortAIx Factory UK, its approaches and ambitions.
* Work with the change manager to understand change impact and develop change, training and communication material.
* Support the Thales UK businesses to adopt common processes and toolsets.
Qualifications
* Good all round knowledge of business structures and processes.
* Able to organise and facilitate groups in workshop settings.
* Delivery management skills to identify business needs and determine solutions.
* Ability to be able to present to stakeholders.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, including good presentations.
* Leadership by example.
* Deep understanding of project management principles and processes.
* Ability to drive and deliver change management activity.
* Understanding of how the different business functions interact and to be able to translate these interactions into delivery excellence.
* Excellent skill level in common office tools (MS office suite etc).
Required Skills
* Good all round knowledge of UK Military technologies, process, doctrine.
* Experience of working in an agile sprint and scrum methodology project approach.
* Broad IT Knowledge (IS strategy, infrastructure, architecture, security and service management).
* Hands-on experience with modelling, analysis and simulation tools.
Preferred Skills
* Involvement in business transformation activities.
* Able to build excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders based on trust and confidence.
