Commercial Financial Controller
Leading the day‑to‑day finance function for a £40m turnover business.
Responsibilities
* Taking ownership of the month‑end close process and ensuring accurate, timely reporting
* Producing and reviewing profit and loss, balance sheet and cash‑flow reporting
* Overseeing VAT, statutory accounts, year‑end audit and wider financial compliance requirements
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting and ongoing financial planning activity
* Providing robust financial insight to support operational and commercial decision‑making
* Working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast‑moving, private‑equity‑backed environment
* Driving improvements in financial processes, controls and reporting through SAP
Qualifications
* Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
* Proven experience in a hands‑on Financial Controller or senior finance role
* Commercially minded with appetite to learn, grow and add value beyond core reporting
* Familiarity with SAP beneficial
* Available at short notice, ideally immediately or within one month’s notice
