Job Description
This position is for a Project Engineer reporting to the Project Engineering Manager. The role involves supporting the Vertical Lift (VL) programme objectives by coordinating activities, managing tasks, and reporting progress. The role is primarily based in Bristol, with Yeovil as a secondary location, and includes occasional travel. Hybrid working options are available.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate engineering teams across multiple skill areas, including internal and external resources and customers.
* Develop and maintain Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs) to meet programme requirements.
* Promote systems engineering best practices in managing the programme requirements hierarchy, ensuring quality, compliance, traceability, and appropriate allocation.
* Work with leadership to secure approvals for business continuity related to VL contracted services.
* Coordinate project proposal activities and communicate milestones and objectives to the engineering leadership team.
* Identify metrics and report on functional performance to programme leadership.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
* Degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field, with experience in requirements management for systems/services.
* Experience in Project Planning and Management, strong Systems Engineering knowledge, proficient IT skills, and excellent customer-facing skills.
* Knowledge of Chinook and/or Apache rotorcraft platforms.
* Registration with the Engineering Council as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer (IEng or CEng), or ability to work towards these titles.
* Knowledge of Military Airworthiness Authority (MAA) Regulatory Articles.
