Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a professional hospitality setting, supporting chefs and kitchen staff in delivering high-quality service.
Prior experience is not essential, but a keen interest in food preparation and hospitality is desirable.
Shifts will start at 8.30am and finish between 4 & 5pm and will include a 30 minute unpaid break.
An equal share of the Tips will be allocated on the days you work.
Duties
* Washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to uphold hygiene standards
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen team
* Ensuring all kitchen areas are kept clean, organised, and free of hazards
* Supporting the movement of supplies and ingredients around the kitchen
* Maintaining stock levels of cleaning supplies and notifying management of shortages
* Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Adhering to all food safety standards and procedures at all times
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential
* Familiarity with food preparation or cooking processes is a plus
* Experience working in a busy kitchen or catering setting will be beneficial
* A background in hospitality or culinary roles can support understanding of service standards and hygiene protocols
