What you’ll be doing
* Help develop, manage, and maintain a comprehensive suite of M&E and Technology processes and procedures in accordance with the DBFO Contract and best asset management practice.
* Ensure the tunnel (including tunnel buildings and facilities) and technology asset databases and registers are in place, with regular reviews and updates in consultation with all relevant interested parties.
* Manage and analyse the asset condition assessments and satisfaction of hand back requirement considering and specifying appropriate maintenance and renewal regimes in collaboration with the teams.
* Review General and Principal Inspections, assist when inspections undertaken externally, and prepare reports for all M&E and Technology assets.
* Management of technology assets on the DBFO Co. network, in line with contract commitments, and asset management standards (ISO 55000) ensuring compliance and achievement of KPI Targets.
* Assist in the production the Asset Management Forward Plan (AMFP) for Technology and Tunnel related M&E assets addressing serviceability and financial targets.
* Work with groups consisting of engineers, surveyors, quantity surveyors, consultants, project managers, safety advisors, suppliers and clients. Assess sub-contractor proposals pursuant award of works package contracts.
* Assist in managing internal/external resources to deliver the agreed outcomes.
* Support stakeholder relationship management and engagement associated with asset management, and related wider objectives, to support the delivery of the overall programme.
* Collaborate and engage with National Highways tunnel and technology teams to ensure good communications whilst optimising performance and reporting procedures.
* Liaise with the CPS Asset Delivery team to assist on technical aspects and to ensure maintenance and defect resolution is undertaken in accordance with contract requirements.
* Produce monthly and annual reports and annual update of Technology and M&E Plans.
* Identify and report on CPS exposure to risks and the contract payment mechanism.
* Partake in regular Technology forums with all stakeholders, as organised and chaired by the Asset Manager.
* Assist in completion of capital renewal works of the tunnels in accordance with the agreed AMFP and in compliance with the requirements of the RTSRs and M25 DBFO contract.
* Contribute to management of safety – establish/audit safe systems of work, review of risk assessments, assess competence etc; contribute to the management of asbestos.
* Support the Tunnel Asset Manager to oversee contract guidelines, terms and conditions with maintenance suppliers to ensure clear expectations, compliance and accountability in tunnel operations.
* Any other duties required by the business in pursuit of meeting contractual obligations.
Who we’re looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
* Must hold a valid UK Driving Licence / be mobile enabling site visits / inspections.
* Engineering background in relevant fields.
* Experience working as a senior engineer in relevant fields.
* Able to carry out nighttime inspections during unsociable hours.
* Experience of working in the field of Highways technology and or Tunnel Management/SCADA systems.
* Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
* Able to build rapport and relationships quickly.
* Have the ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
* Be flexible and adaptable.
* Experience with design, on-site construction, inspections, traffic management, fault remediation and applying functional mitigation for tunnels and technology.

This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms up to three days per week and two days from home.
