The aircraft fitter for this role will focus on mechanical areas of our aircraft requiring service. The selected person will work a 4x4 shift: 0700-1900.
Qualifications include secondary school education with GSE Grade C or above in English and Mathematics, recognized aviation industry-approved apprenticeship, and experience within an EASA Part 145 organization. Working knowledge of EASA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures is required.
Position Purpose: The Aircraft Fitter I, under supervision, performs or assists with inspection, maintenance, and repair of aircraft systems and structures. Assumes duties of the Maintenance Team Lead when required, as instructed by the Service Team Manager.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
* Communicate as required to receive and understand work assignments. Perform aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications under supervision of certifying staff. Assist with movement of aircraft as needed.
* Properly complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other paperwork promptly.
* Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
* Identify (tag) customer property and equipment. Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
* Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment (external power carts, hydraulic power units, hydraulic lift platforms, forklifts, compressed gas cylinders, etc.).
* Ensure all customer property is properly protected.
Additional Functions:
* Use material tracking systems to create parts demand and charge labor to Work Orders, items, and squawks.
* Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic and de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean and organized work areas.
* Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, returning items to designated storage after use.
* Comply with safety rules and procedures, use protective equipment, and be alert for unsafe conditions. Report unsafe conditions promptly.
* Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
