CMA Recruitment Group are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant looking to make a real impact in a fast paced, scaling business. This is a varied role offering hybrid working, study support, and genuine scope to develop broader finance skills in areas such as month end close, cashflow forecasting, and business reporting. What will the Accounts Assistant role involve?
* Full ownership of the accounts payable process
* Processing supplier invoices and ensuring accurate cost centre coding
* Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
* Preparing payment runs
* Posting payments to the ledger and reconciling accounts
* Processing employee expenses
* Multicurrency reconciliations
With training and support, you ll also be involved in:
* Month-end close (including accruals, prepayments, and journal posting)
* Payroll journal entries and reconciliations
* Preparing audit schedules and answering auditor queries
* Cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and revenue/COS analysis
Suitable Candidate for the Accounts Assistant vacancy:
* Strong experience in an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Payable role
* Excellent Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable communicating with both suppliers and internal teams
* Proactive and solutions-focused, with a drive to improve
Additional benefits and information for the role of Accounts Assistant:
* Salary: £30,000 £35,000 DOE
* Study support provided
* Hybrid working model: 2 days in the office, 3 from home
* 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays
