Join our Cyber Security team as an Infrastructure Engineer, where you’ll play a vital role in strengthening our security across a large and diverse technology estate.
This is a hands‑on, operational role focused on reducing cyber risk through effective remediation and patch management. You’ll work closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security and operational support teams to accelerate remediation activity, improve cyber hygiene and reduce technical debt across our environments.

What you will be doing
* Take ownership of vulnerability remediation across servers, endpoints and infrastructure
* Execute OS and application patching across the estate
* Prioritise remediation activity based on risk, business impact and exploitability
* Drive down critical and high‑risk vulnerabilities and reduce backlog
* Work with tools such as Qualys to identify and remediate vulnerabilities
* Validate, test and close vulnerabilities post‑remediation
* Investigate recurring issues and remediation failures
* Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to plan and deliver remediation activity
* Reduce aged vulnerabilities and technical debt
* Maintain accurate tracking, reporting and audit evidence
* Support KPI reporting and continuous improvement of remediation processes
* Work within change, maintenance and release processes
* Escalate risks, blockers or operational challenges where required.
About you
* Experience supporting security vulnerability remediation or patch management activities within enterprise environments
* Good understanding of vulnerability management processes and remediation lifecycle
* Experience working with security tools (Qualys) and supporting patching across enterprise estates
* Exposure to cyber security frameworks such as NIST CSF or ISO27001 is desirable but not essential
* Able to prioritise work based on risk and operational impact
* A proactive problem‑solver who can communicate well and enjoys working as part of a team
