UX Researcher – UX & Content Audit | Fully Remote | Short-Term Contract (January Delivery)
Are you a UX Researcher with a strong eye for content, accessibility, and usability? Looking for a focused, short-term project to kick off your New Year?
A specialist consultancy working with a well-known non-profit in the identity, security, and compliance space is seeking a UX Researcher to lead a UX and content audit of a technical documentation platform. The goal? Improve usability, structure, and accessibility of a critical conformance suite used by technical users across banks, labs, and global partners.
What You’ll Be Doing:
1. Reviewing technical content for usability, structure, and clarity – improving nomenclature, findability, and accessibility
2. Delivering heuristic evaluations and best-practice recommendations grounded in user-centred design
3. Optional: onboarding with the consultancy team in December and reviewing insights from stakeholder discovery and usability testing (if availability allows)
4. Working autonomously and delivering audit outputs within January – this is a fixed-scope engagement
What’s On Offer:
5. Fully remote and UK-based
6. 2–3 weeks full-time commitment (approx. 10–15 days)
7. Flexibility to review materials and get up to speed in December (1–2 days)
8. Work with a highly respected consultancy on meaningful, standards-based work in the open banking and digital identity space
9. Opportunity to shape the content and usability of complex technical products in preparation for large-scale adoption in 2025
What You’ll Need:
10. Proven experience as a UX Researcher, ideally with exposure to content structure, accessibility, and information architecture
11. Comfortable reviewing technical documentation and working in B2B or complex domains (identity, security, fintech or regtech a plus)
12. Able to apply heuristic principles, conduct expert reviews, and communicate clear recommendations
13. Confident working independently, hitting the ground running, and delivering within a constrained scope
14. Availability to commit full-time in January, with some prep time in mid–late December
