We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our specialist home in Prescot, Liverpool, to provide high-quality care and life-enriching opportunities to the people we support. Job Role We support 5 adults at Bardley Crescent, our residential home in Prescot. Each of the people we support have individual interests, needs and care plans. From pizza parties and buffet tea nights to trips out to the beach or the bowling alley, each day will give you new opportunities to motivate the people we support to reach their personal outcomes and live fulfilling lives. Having recently moved from a different property, your responsibility will be to support the people we care for with their transition into their new home, ensuring they can continue with all their favourite activities. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be leading the team whilst you are on shift, acting as a role model to deliver the highest standards of care. You will develop strong relationships with the team and the people we support to ensure the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities Lead, motivate and support the team during each shift, promoting a positive culture and acting as a professional role model. Coordinate daily operations, including plans, activities, appointments and budgets, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the shift. Oversee and complete all required documentation, digital logs and audits, reviewing and signing off records completed by the team. Maintain safety and compliance by escalating health and safety concerns, monitoring medication procedures and ensuring policies are followed. Manage staffing levels across the shift, redeploying where needed and collaborating with other sites to ensure adequate cover. Ensure accurate reporting and follow-up of incidents, behaviour logs, safeguarding concerns and post-incident debriefs. Act as a senior member of the team, advocating for and supporting the continuous development of the home, role modelling best practice in care. What we’re looking for The ideal candidate will have the following: Level 2 Adult Care Worker Qualification or equivalent is desirable (Adult’s only) Level 4 Diploma – Children, Young People & Families Practitioner is essential. (Children’s only) Previous experience in a care role in a senior/team leader/supervisory capacity Be committed to continuous improvement of the home and the team A passion for person-centred care Resilient and tenacious Have a positive and proactive mindset Strong teamwork and communication skills Full UK Driving Licence is preferred.
