The Role
Are you a confident leader with a hands‑on approach and a passion for people and the planet? We're looking for a dedicated Team Leader to join our Field Services department in Coventry. This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role, guiding a team of Sampling Technicians who carry out essential environmental monitoring and sampling for our key clients.
Hours Per Week: 37
Days Per Week: Monday to Friday (including standby rota for weekends and bank holidays)
Contract: Full Time and Permanent

The Day to Day
* Leading, motivating and managing a team of field-based Sampling Technicians
* Ensuring high standards in Health & Safety, quality assurance, and team performance
* Providing hands‑on support by undertaking commercial sampling duties when needed, including potable water, ground water, surface water, trade effluent and gas
* Planning rotas, coordinating workloads and ensuring efficient use of time and resources
* Liaising closely with Field Services Project Managers to ensure sampling targets are met
* Overseeing the maintenance and proper use of vehicles, field equipment and PPE
* Supporting staff development through regular audits, feedback, and performance reviews
The Essentials
* Proven experience managing and motivating a team
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* A proactive, professional attitude with the ability to work under pressure
* Physically fit and willing to work outdoors in all weathers
* Competent in IT and digital systems
* Able to travel across the UK as required
* Full clean UK driving licence
* A minimum of HNC/HND or equivalent field experience
* Working knowledge of Health & Safety and Quality Management systems
