About The Role

Reports to: Director of Science

Start date: September 2026

Contract: Full time, Permanent


The Role

To deliver outstanding teaching and learning of their subject and therefore help students achieve excellent results, and be a role‑model/impact the academy more widely. Design an engaging and challenging curriculum that inspires children to appreciate the subject and its application.


The ideal candidate will:

* Have a UK teaching qualification such as PGCE; BEd or equivalent and hold QTS status
* B e an outstanding teacher of Physics or have the potential to become outstanding
* Experience in raising or the desire to raise attainment in a challenging classroom environment
* Proven experience working or the desire to work successfully to raise attainment in Physics
* Have proven experience working or the desire to work successfully with students of all abilities


Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, resource and deliver lessons to the highest standard that ensures real learning and students make superior progress
* Provide a nurturing environment to assist students to develop as learner
* Teach engaging lessons that motivate, inspire and improve pupil attainment
* Contribute to assessments, reports and references relating to individual and groups of pupils


Qualification Criteria:

* Qualified to degree level in subject
* Hold right to work in the U.K
