Job Description:
London South Bank University (LSBU) is one of London's largest and oldest universities with 31,000 students and approximately 2,000 staff. Since 1892, the University has been providing vocationally-relevant, accredited, and professionally recognized education. LSBU manages a large estate portfolio across Central London, with over 20 buildings totaling 120,000m2. The university has invested heavily in estate development and has ambitious plans for future growth.
Our focus is on offering industry-relevant degrees that prepare students for real-world success, fostering skills for life and meeting employer expectations. Our vision is to transform lives, communities, businesses, and society through applied education and insight. We aim to make a meaningful impact by changing lives, building communities, and promoting equality of opportunity.
The Group Head of Asset Management (M&E) will oversee the delivery of planned preventative maintenance and asset replacement management across the LSBU Group Estate, working with outsourced FM providers. The role involves planning and implementing improvements and upgrades to M&E assets as part of estate master planning, covering campuses at Southwark, Havering, Croydon, Lambeth, and Southwark.
This position is ideal for candidates with proven experience managing large estate operational teams and outsourced contracts. Strong technical knowledge in building services, stakeholder engagement, leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize and deliver excellent customer service within budget are essential.
