Overview
An opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Senior Day Service Officer - 37 hours per week, up until 31 March 2027, to work as part of the Next Steps Project in Adult service provision. We are looking to give the right person an opportunity to work with us.
Responsibilities
* The service will support individuals to move on from their current day service and engage in other opportunities within the community.
* We support individuals with care and support needs, and help people to meet their personal outcomes, ensuring what matters to the person is always most important.
* You will be part of a new & dynamic project.
* You will be supported to undertake the relevant training, to gain understanding, knowledge and skills to undertake the role.
* You will receive regular supervision, guidance, support and encouragement in the role.
* You will work 5 days per week Mon to Friday.

Requirements / Qualifications
* Experience of supporting people with learning disabilities for a minimum of 1 year.
* Relevant qualification QCF-3/5 or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards this qualification.
* Car owner / driver with a full driving licence.
* Good level of IT skills and the ability to communicate well with others in written and verbal form, and to maintain accurate documentation.
* Ability to work with individuals and families in a person-centred way and to collaborate with other professionals while respecting confidentiality.
* Calm and able to manage under pressure to meet the demands of the service; organised and able to meet deadlines.
* Willingness to undertake all relevant training and to support induction, assign roles and responsibilities, provide leadership and support to the staff team.
Salary & Duration
£32,061 - £35,412 per year. Full time (37 hours per week), until March 31, 2027, with the new & exciting 'Next steps project'. The team aims to focus on enabling a move on from day services and support development and promotion of early help, prevention and community engagement.
